The Hazel elevator was built in 1979 by St. Hilaire Co-op Elevator and became operational in January of 1980. The Hazel location has seen numerous additions and updates. In 2002 track was added to load 50 car unit trains and again in 2004 to accommodate 100 car shuttle trains. Additional storage was added in 2007, 2009 and 2012 to accommodate the larger trains and demand for grain storage. The current storage capacity is 2.2 million bushels.
